Park somewhere worth pausing. Set out the cups. Let the next part of the journey begin with coffee or tea.

The quick answer

The Basecamp™ Mobile Kitchen Station (SKU TACP029) is a portable outdoor kitchen built as a coffee and tea workstation. It pairs an integrated pump and rotating faucet with pullout side extensions, a fitted upper drawer, and a magnetic organization panel. It comes in two editions — Coffee and Tea — each with a matched brew kit that stows inside the body. It is well suited to the Tesla Model Y, fitting in its frunk or the recessed storage compartment beneath the rear trunk floor. Basecamp can also be used with all other vehicle models; simply carry it in the trunk. If you want camp mornings to feel like a proper café or tea table rather than a trunk-and-thermos affair, this is the piece that makes the ritual portable.

Built for the pour: purpose and design

Camp cooking usually means improvising on whatever flat surface you can find. The Basecamp replaces that with a single station that provides one organized work area, with the pullout side extensions adding room to spread out.

Materials specified for the station include black walnut, sintered stone, aluminum alloy, and stainless steel.

What it brings to the ritual:

  • Pullout side extensions add worktop space for grinding, pouring, and plating.
  • An integrated pump and rotating faucet deliver running water at the worktop.
  • An organized upper drawer and lower open shelf keep the drink kit and everyday items in fixed places.
  • A magnetic organization panel, with the included poles and hooks, keeps small tools arranged rather than loose.

Coffee Edition or Tea Edition

Both editions share the same station and organization kit. The difference is the drink ritual inside the drawer:

Coffee Edition Tea Edition
Storage for beans or leaves 2 bean containers 2 tea containers
Brewing Grinder, kettle, filter with stand Gaiwan, sharing cup, tea filter with stand, tea tray
Drinkware 2 coffee cups 4 tea cups
Drawer fit Fitted coffee drawer insert Fitted tea drawer insert

Pick the edition that matches how you brew at camp: the coffee path runs from whole beans through a grinder and filter to the cup, while the tea path centers on a gaiwan, sharing cup, and tray.

Tea Edition fitted drawer and tea accessories
Tea Edition: the ritual starts inside the drawer.

Vehicle compatibility and storage

The Basecamp station is not foldable. It fits in the Tesla Model Y frunk or the recessed storage compartment beneath the rear trunk floor, keeping it tucked away between outdoor stops.

Net weight is 13 kg including standard accessories. Plan for this weight when lifting the station into or out of the vehicle.

Basecamp can also be used with all other vehicle models. Simply place it in the trunk for transport, then take it out at your destination to enjoy your outdoor coffee or tea setup.

Organization and setup

Follow the assembly instructions supplied with the station when arranging its accessories for use. The fitted drawer insert gives each container and tool a fixed place, while the magnetic panel keeps frequently used items off the worktop.

Use and care

Follow the manufacturer's care instructions supplied with the station, covering the worktop, the faucet and pump assembly, the containers, and the drinkware. Dry everything thoroughly before packing the station away. The burner is for outdoor use only — operate it away from the vehicle, tents, and any flammable materials, following the manufacturer's instructions. Never use the stove indoors or in enclosed spaces.

What's included

Every edition includes the Basecamp station, the condiment storage set (four liquid and four powder containers plus one long storage box), the magnetic organization panel, poles and hooks, a side panel, and the burner with its case. The Coffee Edition adds its bean containers, grinder, kettle, filter with stand, two coffee cups, and fitted coffee drawer insert; the Tea Edition adds its tea containers, gaiwan, sharing cup, tea filter with stand, tea tray, four tea cups, and fitted tea drawer insert.

Vehicles, chairs and scenery are not included; see edition contents for the supplied kit.
